The Design Finalizer is responsible for ensuring that all design files are thoroughly checked, finalized, and prepared for production. This role involves working closely with designers and production teams to ensure that designs are accurate, print-ready, and meet all necessary specifications. The Design Finalizer must have a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
1. Review and finalize design files to ensure they are print-ready, including checking for correct dimensions, color profiles, image resolution, and bleed settings.
2. Conduct thorough quality checks on all design files to ensure they meet company standards and client specifications.
3. Create and review proofs for internal and client approval, ensuring accuracy in content, layout, and color.
4. Work closely with graphic designers, clients, and production teams to address any issues or changes needed before finalizing designs.
5. Prepare files for various printing processes, including offset, digital, and large-format printing, ensuring compatibility with printing equipment and materials.
6. Organize and maintain design files, ensuring they are properly labeled, stored, and accessible for future use.
7. Make any necessary adjustments to files, such as color corrections, image retouching, and typography tweaks, to ensure optimal output quality.
8. Manage different versions of design files, ensuring that the most up-to-date and correct version is always used for production.
9. Utilize industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and other relevant tools to finalize designs.
10. Ensure all finalized designs comply with brand guidelines, legal requirements, and production standards.
1. A degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field is preferred.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a design finalization, pre-press, or production design role.
3. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and other design software. Strong understanding of printing processes and requirements.
4. Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
