Job Description
We are seeking a Merchandiser Supervisor to join our dynamic team in a leading FMCG (Food) company in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in managing a large team of merchandisers, specifically handling 100+ merchandisers across multiple locations. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of merchandising strategies, ensuring the effective placement of products, and driving the success of our FMCG food products in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of 100+ merchandisers, ensuring they are aligned with company objectives and providing guidance to improve individual and team performance.
- Merchandising Strategy: Develop and implement merchandising strategies to drive sales and brand visibility, ensuring optimal product placement, display execution, and compliance with company standards.
- Training and Development: Provide ongoing training to merchandisers on effective display techniques, product knowledge, and sales tactics. Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and track the performance of the merchandising team, provide feedback, conduct regular performance reviews, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Inventory and Stock Management: Ensure accurate stock management and product availability across various retail locations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure that merchandising activities align with promotional campaigns and marketing strategies.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on merchandising activities, team performance, and market trends to senior management.
- Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners and customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Compliance: Ensure that all merchandising activities comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Merchandiser Supervisor or similar role in an FMCG food company, managing a team of 100+ merchandisers.
- Team Management Skills: Strong leadership, team-building, and people management skills.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to increase sales and enhance product visibility.
- Bilingual: Fluency in both Arabic and English is essential (both written and spoken).
- Driving License: Valid Qatar driving license is mandatory.
- Problem-Solving: Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Educational Background: A degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
- Industry Experience: Experience within the FMCG (Food) sector is highly desirable.
