Job Description
The Medical Referral Deputy Supervisor assists the medical referral process by supporting the Medical Referral Lead. The Supervisor ensures proper utilization of accepted guidelines and/or other healthcare industry criteria for writing referrals and complies with referral management protocols. The Medical referral Deputy Supervisor supports in an administrative role patient and staff movements for case management, oversees stockage levels, and attends meetings as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintains a high level of professionalism dealing with interdisciplinary team. Ensures compliance with patient confidentiality and infection control standards, as well as all policies and protocols. Works with clinical providers to establish medical referrals for specialty care not available in Doha, Qatar. Assists in the entire referral process and assist patients with scheduling emergency and urgent care according to guidance from medical staff. Coordinates with the International SOS Assistance Center when necessary. Performing administrative duties including, answering incoming calls and responding to all messages for the case management and billing department. Providing excellent customer service responding to patient inquiries promptly and accurately. Active participation in day-to-day office activities, including a variety of meetings and task force groups to improve procedural processes, obtain approvals, and remain abreast of new developments, policy requirements and regulations. Active participation in Mass Casualty exercises and events.

Qualifications
Required Skills and Knowledge: Experience with electronic medical records and billing processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Required Competencies:

Required Work Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in coding, billing, or collections. Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
Required Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Fluent in spoken and written English.
Physical Requirements:
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time. May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications:
Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate. On call requirements as part of a rotation if required. This position is unaccompanied. Ability to obtain a base security clearance is required. Must be able to relocate to Qatar for the duration of the contract. A valid passport in Country of Record is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation. You must maintain a current passport during your stay in Qatar.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
