Mechanical Engineer

We are a leading consultancy office in Qatar and are currently looking to hire Mechanical Engineers with design experience in a engineering consultancy office to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidates should have a proven track record in handling multidisciplinary sustainable building designs and have the experience necessary to thrive in an engineering consultancy environment.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in handling multidisciplinary sustainable building designs within an engineering consultancy office.
  
• Strong knowledge of preparing authorities' submission documentation and familiarity with updated authorities' guidelines and standards.
  
• In-depth understanding of NFPA and QCDD standards.
  
• Hands-on experience with technology analysis software for firefighting, heat load calculations, and energy modeling.
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a consultancy setting.
  
• Experience in design review services across a wide range of projects, including residential, commercial, hospitality, etc.
  
• Knowledge of design optimization, compliance with codes, and conducting value engineering assessments.
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver innovative and sustainable mechanical design solutions for a variety of building projects.
  
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, authorities' guidelines, and industry standards.
  
• Perform heat load calculations, energy modeling, and design optimization for efficient systems.
  
• Review designs and provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and teams.
  
• Prepare documentation for authorities' approvals and submissions in line with Qatar’s updated guidelines.
  
• Collaborate with other disciplines, including electrical and plumbing engineers, to deliver integrated design solutions.
  
• Conduct value engineering to optimize designs and ensure cost-effective, high-performance solutions.
  
• Provide technical input and expertise in project meetings and coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  
• Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Energy, Sustainability, or Building Services Engineering) is a plus.
  

Required Skills:

• Mechanical design experience in a consultancy office is a must.
  
• Proficiency in design analysis tools (e.g., HAP, IES, or other mechanical engineering software).
  
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and sustainable design solutions.
  
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  
• Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers and provide high-level technical expertise.
