Job Description

We are looking for a Material QC Inspector STR/PVV/COR for one of our clients with the following details: 


Start date: 15-NOV-2024


End Date: 31-OCT-2025


Location: Doha, Qatar


Work status: Residence, Single


 ACTIVITIES


  • To promote & comply with applicable safety instructions and other COMPANY HSE procedures in all activities,
  • To carry out work in compliance with COMPANY values and policies, relevant laws and regulations, agreed COMPANY priorities and objectives, COMPANY standards and procedures and good industry practices,
  • Contribute to promoting safety culture by reporting safety observations.
  • Carry out inspection in accordance with relevant procedures to verify conformity to specification and applicable requirements.
  • Review material certificates and other relevant manufacturer documents and verify conformity to Purchase Order, COMPANY standards and applicable international standards if not reviewed by pre-review team as per approved criticality level for the materials.
  • Carry out inspection on back-loaded items and report the condition of the items as and when necessary for the project.
  • Report the outcome of inspection in SAP/PALM (as applicable for project).
  • Organize inspection and assign QC inspectors as required depending on priorities.
  • Proactively, review QC inspector team size at supply base depending on workload and report to project quality engineers.
  • To discuss with discipline TRPs relating to technical aspects on the materials for smooth material releases.
  • Report Nonconformities in relevant form (NCR) and close out upon satisfactory resolution.
  • Contribute to Manufacturer Performance evaluation by providing relevant statistics.
  • Proactively, report to project quality engineers regularly and when decisions impacting PWM project activities need to be taken with regards to Materials QC.
  • Interface and coordinate as necessary with other relevant entities.
  • Carry out any other relevant duties or tasks that may be assigned by reporting line.
  • Contribute to Manufacturer Performance evaluation by providing relevant statistics when required

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE


  • Qualification: Any Graduate / Diploma in mechanical engineering, or equivalent with at least 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry projects, sound knowledge in material requirements of grades typical in upstream industry,
  • Must be familiar and at least with ISO, EN, ASME, API, AWS, ASTM, NACE and/or holder of a valid certificate of CSWIP 3.1/3.2.2 and ASNT SNT TC 1A Level II in RT, UT, PT & MT. Preferred experience with ATEX documentations.
  • A good knowledge of COMPANY Standards and International codes/standards related to design, manufacturing, testing and inspection.
  • Be skilled in using computer programs for word processing, database management, spreadsheets, and e-mail communications.
  • Familiar with ERP tools like SAP, IT tools-MS office etc.
  • Language: Fluent English,
  • Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment,
