Job Description

JOB OBJECTIVES To perform thorough inspections and assessments of all lifting equipment and lifting operations, ensuring that they are executed in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner in line with local and international safety regulations.To develop, update, and deliver comprehensive lifting equipment training and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) courses, ensuring all personnel are well-versed in safe practices and compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations. MAIN DUTIES Conduct Inspections and Assessment: Perform thorough inspections and assessment of lifting equipment, including cranes, hoists, slings, shackles, lifting beams, and other lifting accessories to assess their condition and ensure compliance with LEEA standards and safety regulations.Issue Certificates: Provide certification for lifting equipment after successful inspections and ensure that proper documentation is completed in accordance with legal and safety standards.Compliance Assurance: Ensure that all lifting equipment is compliant with relevant safety regulations (such as LOLER, OSHA, and other applicable standards). Monitor and enforce compliance with industry best practices.Identify Risks and Defects: Identify potential risks, faults, and defects during inspections. Evaluate the equipment’s condition and recommend necessary repairs, replacements, or upgrades.·       Sales and Marketing: Builds network and establish new clients to the company to expand its market share;Contacting potential clients via emails or phone calls to establish rapport, set up meetings or schedule appointments and follow up quotation and support the team in sales and marketing strategies.Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed inspection reports, including recommendations for corrective actions, maintenance schedules, or modifications to improve safety and performance. Maintain accurate records for all inspections and certifications.Safety Reviews: Conduct regular safety reviews and audits of lifting operations and equipment. Provide advice and suggestions to improve safety practices.Training, Support and Development: Support the training department in developing and delivering trainings related to lifting equipment and HSE related courses.Compliance Audits: Support the Technical Manager preparing documentation for audit compliance.Customer Interaction: Liaise with clients, contractors, and third-party agencies to discuss inspections, findings, and recommendations for lifting equipment safety and compliance. WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 1.     Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in lifting equipment inspection, maintenance, or related fields.2.     Experience with lifting gear and equipment, including cranes, hoists, slings, and other lifting accessories.
