Licensed Engine Technician - Engine Shop

An opportunity for Licensed Engine Technician is currently available to work under Technical Engine Shop Department based in Doha Qatar.

You will be responsible to deliver off wing engine maintenance and rework activities within your authorization privilege to support task certification of engine LRU build-up, engine preservation /storage, receipt/ dispatch inspections, shipping are performed in an efficient and timely manner to support QTR engine operation

Operational Accountabilities;

• Perform specific approved tasks covered in his license privilege to support engine/APU receipt inspections, dispatch inspections, engine transportations, fan split / mate, LRU build up, module removal / Installations and task certifications to achieve on time targets of spare engine/APU production operation in engine shop.
•  To use all available resources at disposal to ascertain that all maintenance including casualties on QR Aircraft engines is carried out to the highest possible Maintenance Standards and Safety in the most productive/proactive and cost-effective manner.
• Ensure work processes are effective by complying QR work procedures and standards to improvements are required to engine maintenance.
• Ascertain effective performance of tasks by checking engine maintenance tasks are accomplished in accordance with laid down policies and procedures of given time frame.
• Maintaining the Engine task authorization privilege are up date as per TPM and QCAA.
• Provide guidance and mentoring of junior mechanics and indirectly supervision.
• Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by   the Head of the Department.

Qualification and experience

• High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 5 years of job-related experience OR 
• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience
• Valid License/Approval + Minimum of 4 years of Aircraft Maintenance experience
• Engine Shop Experience
• Engine Module Removal / Installation Experience

For Internal : Promotion from AM.05/AM.06  grade with minimum 2 years  of experience  + holds QR A1.1 company authorization / QR Engine hop Authorization.

Job Specific Skills

• A flexible attitude, and be willing to occasionally cover weekend and stay late for work completion if required to satisfy company agreed delivery time/turn-around-time.
• Ability to use the correct tools, methods, techniques and equipment required to perform engine maintenance.
• Ability to read and understand various schematic diagrams for maintenance troubleshooting and be proficient with computers and diagnostic tools.
• GE90, GP7200, GENX, TRENT XWB, CF6, V2500, Trent 700, Trent500, CFM 56, Trent XWB Build up Experience.
