Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Landscape Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape design, with a focus on creating sustainable, aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces. This position requires a combination of technical expertise and creative design skills, alongside extensive experience in project execution.
RequirementsKey Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of outdoor spaces, focusing on sustainability, aesthetics, and functionality.
- Collaborate with architects, urban planners, and other professionals to integrate landscape designs into larger architectural and urban projects.
- Develop planting plans and select appropriate vegetation to enhance the visual appeal, environmental sustainability, and biodiversity of the site.
- Use design tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, and other visualization software to create detailed plans and 3D models.
- Oversee the execution of landscape projects, ensuring designs are implemented to the highest standards.
- Perform site analysis and assess environmental factors to inform the design process.
- Conduct feasibility studies and manage budgets, timelines, and resources for landscape projects.
- Work with clients to understand their vision and provide creative solutions tailored to their needs.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, sustainability standards, and local planning codes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in landscape design, with a focus on sustainable and aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, and other visualization software.
- Strong knowledge of planting design, including the selection of plants that are both sustainable and visually appealing.
- Expertise in environmental sustainability and incorporating green technologies into landscape designs (e.g., rainwater harvesting, green roofs, native plants).
- Familiarity with construction and project management processes for landscape projects.
