This role involves handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations.
As a Junior Accountant, you will support the Finance department by assisting with financial transactions, reporting, and maintaining accurate records. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Ensure the accuracy of financial entries and maintain up-to-date records in the accounting system. Assist in processing invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations to ensure timely transactions. Handle basic account inquiries and support dispute resolution. Reconcile accounts and verify financial data on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Collaborate with the Finance Team and other departments to support financial processes. Assist in preparing financial reports and identifying discrepancies for corrective action. Adhere to fire, health, and safety regulations while following correct financial procedures. Execute tasks and assignments as directed by the Senior Accountant and/or Finance Manager.

Previous experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in a high-volume environment. Proficiency in accounting software and strong MS Excel skills. Good time management and organizational abilities. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate:
Previous accounting experience, ideally within a hotel or hospitality environment. A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline from an academic institution.
