In this role, you will be primarily responsible for managing the technology products and services portfolio for IS-Corporate of Qatar Airways IT. You will be partnering with assigned business departments to identify technology enabled business outcomes, prioritize, and deliver them working closely with product owners, delivery leads, software engineering leads, and external suppliers as appropriate. To accelerate this digital journey, we are looking for a Manager Business Systems who will lead large digital initiatives, facilitate formulating technical solutions, work with Project / Program Managers and overall lead the digital journey.
Your Responsibilities
- Deliver large scale IT programs / projects in alignment with the organization’s strategic plans and objectives.
- Drive innovation to ensure solutions drive value to the business.
- Work closely with business leaders (VPs and above), in a multi-cultural environment.
- Drive communication plan, engage stakeholders across business functions, controlling and reporting progress to the Steering Group/Sponsor and escalating any issues, as appropriate, in a timely manner.
- Identify inter-dependencies between the various stakeholder groups to ensure all are aligned and risks are identified, mitigated and communicated.
- Ensuring appropriately skilled resources are delivering the project and managing the availability and performance.
- Ensuring applications/products security, availability & performance all the time and issue(s) / problem(s) resolution in-line with SLAs ;
- Oversee and supervise employees, mentor, coach and build technology competence in the delivery & manage their career aspirations.
- Liaise with external 3rd party suppliers and internal departments / IT teams to collaborate and design, implement robust & secure solutions.
Qualifications
Knowledge & Experience
- Bachelor Degree with minimum 10 years of IT program management and delivery experience.
- Should possess large program / project delivery execution through onsite/offshore model, vendor management, mobilizing large teams and worked across multiple technology platforms and tools.
- Experience in developing/implementing solutions for Finance business functions is a must.
- Provide leadership and direction to the delivery teams, work closely with the project managers to manage the Project Schedules / timelines
- Digitalization of business processes, implementing performance improvement initiatives and recommending best practices.
- Expertise in Agile/Waterfall software development practices, Design Thinking, Lean Software Management, DevSecOps and Engineering Platform concepts etc. are strongly preferred to be successful in this role.
- Experience in cloud ERP (Oracle or SAP) will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge in Information security standards like ISO 27001, PCI DSS and GDPR.
- Excellent communication (written, verbal) and presentation skills, at organization leadership levels
- Excellent problem solving and solutioning mind set.
- Must be a Go-Getter with positive attitude, Self-motivating, innovative, open-minded and inspiring
- PMI or other industry leading certifications around Project Management, Agile methodologies is preferred.
