Job Description

About the job Instrumentation Engineer (6 months role)
  • Degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering.
  • Minimum 3-5 years working experience in drafting and design of plants and systems for projects in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Pharmaceutical Industries.
  • Well-versed in all local and international codes and standards on the related field.
  • Computer literate and good hand-on experience on applications such as CAD drafting, SP Instrumentation, Microsoft Office, design software like SP Instrumentation.
  • Follows established procedures and guidelines to design and install products and services that is require by the organisation.
  • Reviews /implements project/job specification.
  • Designs and updates instrumentation system layouts, loop diagrams, instrument cable schedules, data sheets, instrument index sheets, I/O lists, installation drawings, etc.
  • Drafts engineering documents for government submission and for construction.
  • Carries out basic and detailed engineering design including calculations / analysis as per project requirements.
  • Prepares and updates material take-off for project procurement and bid proposals.
  • Prepares cost estimate for tender proposal.
  • Coordinates and cooperates with other disciplines on new process requirements, design interference check and design changes.
  • Adheres to ISO quality requirements in the execution of works.
  • Instructs, supervises, manages and monitors the Designers and Draftsman
  • Provides technical assistance to construction team.
  • Attends site check/verification.
  • Adheres to drawing checking procedure.
  • Performs metering / control valves / relief valves sizing.
