Job Description

Job Title: Instrument Supervisor

Location: Qatar

Experience: 4-5 Years

Salary: Depends Upon Experience

Main Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and oversee installation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and maintain instruments such as transmitters, controllers, analyzers, and control valves.
  • Conduct functional tests and loop checks to verify the accuracy and efficiency of instrumentation systems.
  • Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and other departments to ensure smooth operation of instrumentation and control systems.
  • Review and interpret P&ID diagrams, loop drawings, and control schematics.
  • Maintain documentation and records of instrument maintenance, calibration, and testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control systems, PLC, and SCADA systems.
  • Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments to prevent equipment failures and hazards.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians on instrumentation best practices and procedures.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certification in instrumentation and control (ISA, API, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial instrumentation, PLCs, SCADA systems, and DCS.
Skills Required:
  • Proficiency in calibration and troubleshooting of process control instruments.
  • Knowledge of automation systems, control loops, and field instrumentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&ID diagrams and technical manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Hands-on experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with HSE regulations and risk assessment in instrument-related activities.
  • Good leadership and communication skills for coordinating with cross-functional teams.
