ICA ENGINEER

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The purpose of the job of an ICA (Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) / ELV (Extra Low Voltage) Engineer is to design, implement, and manage systems that involve instrumentation, control, automation, and low voltage technologies. These systems are critical for monitoring, controlling, and optimizing various processes in buildings, infrastructure, and industrial environments.
(ICT, BMS, CCTV, Access Control Systems, PAGA & Instrumentation, Control & Automation)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review and Develop Detailed Design P&IDs,
• Review and Develop SCADA System Architecture,
• Design of PMS System,
• Prepare I/O Schedules for Process Controls, BMS & PMS System,
• Size System Cabinets for Process Control, PMS System & ELV Systems, as applicable,
• Prepare Instrument Schedules & Instrument Data Sheets,
• ICA / ELV Systems Load assessment & Calculations for feed to size UPS,
• Develop Operation & Control Philosophy, Functional Design Specifications for each system, and Detailed Design Reports
• Assist QS Team in producing BoQ for ICA & ELV Systems
• Prepare Overall Instrumentation & Control Layouts, including design of control room layouts comprising control panels, operator workstations and large screen monitors, SCADA furniture as required,
• Develop ICA Cable Schedules,
• Closely work with Revit Modelers and Drafters to generate detailed drawings, schedules, and documentation. The deliverables shall include, but not limited to,
• Detailed design plans including detailed cable routing etc. for BMS, CCTV, Access Control Systems, Fire Alarm System, PAGA System, Telecom, Intercom Systems and Instrumentation, Control & Automation works
• Accurate and comprehensive 3D models for each of the above systems, incorporating the related devices, control panels, network cabinets, and related components.
• Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and MEP team to ensure proper integration and coordination of all system elements within the overall building model,
• Contribute to the ELV & ICA design, specifying the devices and ensuring appropriate coverage for different building spaces,
• Conduct regular quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of the electrical models, drawings, and associated documentation.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors Degree in Control and Instrumentation , Electronic Engineering Electronic & Instrumentation equivalent from an accredited University to the approval of the Engineer. A recognized Professional Qualification from recognized institution with a professional career development records
• Minimum 15 years demonstrable experience with minimum 10 years in all aspects of supervision, Control & Instrumentation System design ,PLC, Automation ,commissioning of control automation and SCADA of similar size sewage projects in the Construction and refurbishment of sewerage Pumping Stations, or Projects of similar nature for sewerage treatment works or equivalent construction projects.
• Must be able to review and supervise a board range of Electronic designs ,refurbishment & upgrading and construction activities on a variety of infrastructure projects including all Electronic and instrumentation system , solving the technical site problems that may arise during Material submission , and during construction.
• He should be able to review all possible interface with Mechanical and Electrical arrangements.
• He should be familiar with the latest SCADA interface with PWA and regulations.
• He should be able to sort out design conflicts review and to recommend the Proper solutions.
• Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with good capability in oral and written communication skills.
• Computer skills are mandatory.
• Ability to utilize design software.
• Must be able to demonstrate skills to implement methods for dispute avoidance and resolution study.
• Shall be able to review As-built drawings and O&M manuals in accordance with the latest requirements of PWA.
• Shall be able to finalize the recommended spare part list at early stage of the project
• Shall be registered as Grade A from MME.
