About the job ICA / ELV ENGINEER
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The purpose of the job of an ICA (Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) / ELV (Extra Low Voltage) Engineer is to design, implement, and manage systems that involve instrumentation, control, automation, and low voltage technologies. These systems are critical for monitoring, controlling, and optimizing various processes in buildings, infrastructure, and industrial environments.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and Develop Detailed Design P&IDs,
- Review and Develop SCADA System Architecture,
- Design of PMS System,
- Prepare I/O Schedules for Process Controls, BMS & PMS System,
- Size System Cabinets for Process Control, PMS System & ELV Systems, as applicable,
- Prepare Instrument Schedules & Instrument Data Sheets,
- ICA / ELV Systems Load assessment & Calculations for feed to size UPS,
- Develop Operation & Control Philosophy, Functional Design Specifications for each system, and Detailed Design Reports
- Assist QS Team in producing BoQ for ICA & ELV Systems
- Prepare Overall Instrumentation & Control Layouts, including design of control room layouts comprising control panels, operator workstations and large screen monitors, SCADA furniture as required,
- Develop ICA Cable Schedules,
- Closely work with Revit Modelers and Drafters to generate detailed drawings, schedules, and documentation. The deliverables shall include, but not limited to,
- Detailed design plans including detailed cable routing etc. for BMS, CCTV, Access Control Systems, Fire Alarm System, PAGA System, Telecom, Intercom Systems and Instrumentation, Control & Automation works
- Accurate and comprehensive 3D models for each of the above systems, incorporating the related devices, control panels, network cabinets, and related components.
- Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and MEP team to ensure proper integration and coordination of all system elements within the overall building model,
- Contribute to the ELV & ICA design, specifying the devices and ensuring appropriate coverage for different building spaces,
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of the electrical models, drawings, and associated documentation.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Engineering Degree in Instrumentation & Controls / Electrical Engineering,
- UPDA Certification
- 5 Years experience as an ICA / ELV Engineer
- Experience working on commercial, residential, or industrial projects, especially STP will be advantageous.
- Good knowledge of design principles, codes, and standards for ICA, ICT & ELV Systems,
- Good Knowledge of PWA / Kahramaa requirements,
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork,
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work,
- Working knowledge in AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit software,
- Familiarity with BIM processes and collaboration tools.
