Position: HSES Specialist
Reports To: Operationally - HSE Manager & Functionally - QFAB Senior HSES Specialist

Job Summary and Purpose
- Implements and enforce HSES Management system requirements in fabrication yard and sites managed by QFAB.
- Facilitate implementation of BBS and PTW systems in the yard.
- Implement HSEO activity plan and its deliverables.
Task and Responsibilities:
- Spend a minimum of 70% of time in the field monitoring compliance to yard HSES safe work procedures at assigned project/ work site.
- Be fully conversant with company and client HSES policies, procedures and associated documentation.
- Ensure company HSES policies and procedures are implemented consistently and effectively.
- Review HSES documentation as requested.
- Facilitate and participate in site specific HSES risk assessment and ensure risk registries are maintained up to date.
- Review local legislation and update legal register
- Monitor KPI's relevant to the area of responsibility and ensure targets are achieved and appropriately tracked.
- Monitor, analyze, identify HSES trends in the areas of responsibility and report.
- Prepare, schedule and conduct HSES inspections, internal and external audits.
- Prepare and execute HSES Activity plan.
- Develop toolbox talk plan and supporting material. Observe/ assist supervision during the delivery of TBT's.
- Assist with the planning of PTW's conduct inspections and ensure compliance to PTW controls.
- Initiate, coordinate and record emergency drills, ensure a post drill review/ de-brief is conducted and make recommendations where necessary.
- Actively promote and participate in safety campaigns, behavior-based safety program, Stop work obligation, Communication card and other HSE department initiatives.
- Lead/ attend/ record HSES meetings
- Monitor contractors and vendors to ensure compliance to safe work practices
- Follow-up timely close out and maintain HSES central action tracking registry
- Lean and assist with incident investigations, prepare report and following up on corrective actions.
- Develop and review training material. Deliver training / induction courses as assigned and monitor effectiveness.
- Complete employee development program as required by Mcdermott/QFAB management systems.
- Client interface as required
- Provide mentorship and coaching to junior HSES staff
- Other duties connected with the function as directed

Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in occupational health and safety or equivalent
- NEBOSH IGC
- Internal Auditor ISO (45001/14001/9001)
- IOSH Managing Safely
Experience:
- Preferred 5 years of experience in OIL & GAS HSE role.
