Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:


The Housing Coordinator performs a range of routine maintenance checks for all Sidra provided accommodation including minor building electrical problems, basic carpentry deliveries and site security.


KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Inspects the housing units initially, prior to enrolment and prior to viewing by Housing Services Officer and/or new hire(s).  Determines changes/improvements required for the housing units.
  • Assigns and monitors the work of the maintenance team and follows up on all maintenance requests.
  • Logs all maintenance requests and prepares monthly maintenance report for the Team Leader - Housing. 
  • Liaises with Qatar Foundation on Sidra Village Housing and arranges for cleaning and maintenance works for all housing units as required.
  • Performs miscellaneous administrative tasks such as preparing agendas and minutes of meetings held with the maintenance team (sub-contractor) and other documents, as required.
  • Troubleshoots, maintains, and performs basic repairs of minor building electrical problems, such as tubes, fixtures, switches, and outlets.
  • Ensures site security adheres to company laws and regulations.
  • Coordinates and oversees on-site contractors, suppliers and other staff as required.
  • Ensures all maintenance work is carried out to the highest standards and within set timelines.
  • Coordinates an effective system with Contractors and staff to deal with any emergency requirements.
  • Liaises with site security and updates relevant information.
  • Oversees inbound deliveries and arranges in store.
  • Ensures that confidentiality is maintained in all transactions
  • Adheres to Sidra’s standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies
  • Adheres to and promotes Sidra’s Values

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:


ESSENTIAL PREFERRED
Education Diploma in relevant field Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
Experience 2+ years of demonstrated experience in a similar role
Certification and Licensure Valid Qatari driving license

  • Knowledge of the local community and road geography of Doha city.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a confidential environment.
  • Demonstrated organizational and negotiating skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

Spoken knowledge of Arabic language would be an added advantage.
