Job Description

The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a pivotal role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the establishment. This position is essential in ensuring that guests enjoy a comfortable and welcoming environment during their stay. The supervisor will oversee the housekeeping staff, ensuring that all areas of the hotel or accommodation are kept to the highest standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
  2. Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness and service.
  3. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
  4. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
  5. Address guest complaints and requests promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
  6. Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  7. Prepare reports on housekeeping activities and staff performance for management review.
  8. Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  9. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all housekeeping operations.
  10. Assist in budgeting and cost control for housekeeping operations.

  3. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  5. Proficient in using housekeeping management software.
  6. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  7. Experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
  9. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
  10. Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
