Job Description

Head Waitress


The Head Waitress is responsible for overseeing the waiter/ waitress, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a high standard of dining experience. This role involves training, supervising, and assisting waiter/ waitress while also handling VIP guests, resolving issues, and ensuring smooth daily operations in the dining area.


  • Supervise and lead the waiter/ waitress, ensuring excellent service standards.
  • Train new and existing team on service etiquette, menu knowledge, and customer interactions.
  • Organize shift schedules and delegate tasks to maintain efficiency.
  • Monitor performance, provide coaching and feedback, and assist in appraisals.
  • Ensure all guests receive high-quality service and a seamless dining experience.
  • Address customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally and efficiently.
  • Manage reservations, coordinate table assignments, and oversee seating arrangements.
  • Ensure VIP and regular guests receive personalized service.
  • Assist waiter/ waitress during busy periods by taking orders, serving food, and handling payments when needed.
  • Ensure food and beverage service meets company standards.
  • Oversee cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation of dining areas.
  • Enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring all procedures comply with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and bar team to maintain smooth food and drink service.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of dining essentials (e.g., cutlery, glassware, napkins).
  • Handle cash register operations, billing, and financial reporting as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Head Waitress or in a senior hospitality role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of beach club restaurant operations, fine dining etiquette, and menu items.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional grooming and presentation.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Experience with POS systems and reservation software (preferred).
  • Multilingual skills (Russian language will be an advantage).
