Job Description
We are looking for a Head of Worker Welfare for one of our clients with the following details:
Starting date: 22/11/2024
Location: Doha Qatar
Duration of Assignment: 36 months
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Welfare Reslated Qualification which may include; Welfare, Psychology; Teaching; Sprots; Health; Security degree.
- SHES related Certification; NEBOSH (or equivalent); or TapRoot Investigation;
- Minimum of ten (10) years industry relevant HSE experience with specific responsibilities in disciplines such as welfare-, training-, camp-, security-, or health management.
- International project experience with Tier-1 EPC Contractors or Client, involved in the construction of onshore production facilities (i.e. greenfield and brownfield work).
- Sound knowledge of the project execution process in large-scale project environments (expenditure >US$ 1 Bn).
Technical and Business Skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent verbal and written English skills; confident and clear presentation development and delivery
- Able to cope with excessive workload and work under extremet pressure, keeping the team calm and focused
- Strong teamwork, facilitation, with the ability to communicate and interact with all levels of organization
- Ability to work with diverse cultures to obtain a world-class SHES performance.
- Creates high quality and accurate output in a timely manner.
- Team player who can effectively collaborate within project Teams and with external parties.
- Computer literate, familiar working with Micosoft Officer applications.
Key Accountabilities
- Supports relevant EPC package in terms of welfare matters which may include Personal Welfare; Contract Welfare; Site Welfare; Camp Welfare.
- Ensure that welfare matters that are reported to the Welfare Operation Center (WOC) within relevant EPC package, is recorded and trakced to closure including escalation to management of more serious cases that may require urgent attention.
- Coordinate and supports the project peer-to-peer counsellors (Village Heroes) in all their activities, including regular catch up meetings, counselling, selection, training and onboarding of new village heroes.
- Supports the project Resiliience Program including mental health for PMT, EPC and Subcontractor teams.
