Key Job Accountabilities
Facilitate in the development of key maintenance objectives and KPI’s that support agreed strategies and business work plans for offshore maintenance to ensure long term reliability expectations of company’s offshore facilities. Develop maintenance strategies for CAT I, II & III offshore projects to meet operational requirements.
Ensure flawless execution of maintenance support activities/programs to achieve availability and reliability of equipment to maximise available production capacity. Direct the implementation of maintenance strategies for CAT I, II & III offshore projects, ensuring alignment with operational goals.
Evaluate and analyse financial and technical reports from relevant stakeholders and authorize transactions in accordance with Table of Financial Authority (TOFA), to ensure efficient budget utilization.
Assess and establish the critical contracts for the major overhauling and specific trouble shooting involved with critical machineries with the aim of aligning agreements with OESS goals and requirements to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of offshore projects.
Coordinate with the department management in establishing department maintenance procedures and internal audit requirements, ensuring alignment with OESS objectives to support the successful execution and sustainability of offshore projects.
Coordinate and steward the process of work scoping and work packs development with a high degree of fortitude to ensure effective and efficient execution. Ensure that these processes support operational readiness and align with OESS objectives to facilitate the seamless integration and sustainability of new offshore projects.
Plan the interface between onshore support and offshore maintenance to have an effective collaboration and ensure proper follow-up of vendors/external third parties.
Coordinate emergency breakdown requirements to ensure the event is responded too effectively and efficiently to ensure minimal safety or financial impact to offshore or other assets.
Direct contractors and third-party services in their support of routine and non-routine emergency shutdown maintenance to ensure expectations are managed in alignment with operations and maintenance requirements within the various offshore assets.
Facilitate through leadership and interface with all offshore sections, including Wellhead & Pipeline Operations, Marine & Logistics, Operations & Maintenance, and others onshore Engineering & Technical support departments to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations.
Job Purpose
Direct, support and oversight of a multidiscipline maintenance team in offshore to ensure the safety integrity and reliability of the offshore facilities are safeguarded by providing direct day to day maintenance support that ensures the approved maintenance strategies are implemented to achieve key set objectives. Develop and direct the implementation of maintenance strategies for CAT I, II & III offshore projects to meet operational requirements to achieve timely and budget-compliant completion until handover to the permanent asset.
Job Context & Major Challenge(s)
Facilitate both internal and external maintenance support requirements for all offshore maintenance related activities to achieve asset reliability and availability targets at cost efficient and optimized OPEX budget.
High degree of interface by engaging with offshore maintenance leadership team to achieve organisational effectiveness and efficiency through maintenance excellence.
Always alert to respond to emergencies and ensure integrity and reliability of the assets.
Work directly with the offshore team to manage operational risk and provide required maintenance support to minimize safety or volume risks.
Person Specification - Minimum Requirement Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
Knowledge and/or Experience
10 years of experience in an engineering or an operational and maintenance environment in diversified oil and gas experience, out of which 5 years in a management or supervisory position.
Technical and Business Skills
Technical expertise in a key maintenance discipline with a good working knowledge of other key disciplines.
Computer literate, including SAP / Meridium.
Exposure to a multi-cultural and diverse environment.
Competent in Preparation and Review of Scope documents for Maintenance activities and external service requirement.
Familiar with Policy and Procedure, standards and specifications of company, national and international bodies.
