Position Overview



The Graphic Designer for Oryx Universal College’s Market Engagement Department is responsible for creating visually impactful and brand-consistent graphics that support the college’s marketing initiatives. This role plays a critical part in shaping the college’s image, crafting design solutions for both digital and print media that enhance OUC’s outreach and engagement with students, stakeholders, and the broader community.

Key Responsibilities



- Graphic Design and Visual Content Creation
Design digital and print materials including brochures, flyers, posters, social media assets, website graphics, email templates, and event collateral.
Develop innovative visual concepts that align with OUC’s brand identity and appeal to a diverse audience.
Ensure high-quality, on-brand visual content across all marketing platforms.- Brand Identity and Consistency
Uphold and enforce OUC’s brand guidelines, ensuring all materials are visually consistent and adhere to college branding standards.
Maintain a unified and professional look across all graphics, reflecting OUC’s mission and values.- Social Media and Digital Marketing Support
Design graphics for social media posts, advertisements, and digital campaigns that drive engagement and align with current trends.
Collaborate with the social media team to create engaging visual content that enhances the college’s online presence.- Collaborative Project Work
Work closely with the Market Engagement team to understand project requirements, objectives, and timelines.
Collaborate with other departments, such as Admissions and Academic Affairs, to create targeted designs for specific initiatives and events.- Printing and Production Management
Coordinate with print vendors for the production of printed materials, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications.
Prepare print-ready files, reviewing proofs, and managing print production timelines.- Creative Ideation and Continuous Improvement
Contribute fresh ideas for visual storytelling, new design trends, and creative approaches to college branding.
Regularly seek feedback to improve design quality and enhance effectiveness.

Requirements



Skills and Qualifications



Educational Background: B A recognised qualification in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Digital Media, Visual Arts, or a related field. A Bachelor's degree would be a definite advantage.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably within marketing or higher education.

Technical Skills:


+ Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design software.
+ Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout composition.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in all aspects of design, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
Project Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
Communication: Strong verbal and visual communication skills to effectively convey design ideas and collaborate with team members.

Preferred Attributes



Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and basic understanding of web design tools.
Knowledge of social media platforms, digital marketing, and best practices for online visuals.
Experience working with print vendors and managing production processes.
