Job Summary and Purpose
Responsible for overseeing and supervising QFAB Government Affairs operations and Gate pass requests. Liaise with the governmental bodies on behalf of QFAB and ensures that all government affairs and formalities and related activities are completed on time, and in compliance with the applicable rules and regulations, while extending the required support to QFAB and its staffs.
Accountabilities
Key Accountabilities:
Government Affairs:
- Provide daily supervision and guidance to Government Affairs Officer and Gate pass team, ensuring they perform their duties effectively and in timely manner.
- Monitor the progress of all government - related processes and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Oversea Gate pass operations, ensuring compliance with security protocols and maintaining accurate records for personnel vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure the team is updated on any changes in government policies and procedures that may affect their work.
- oversee the preparation and submission of all required documents related to Resident Permits (RP) for employees and their families, including issuance, renewal, transfer, cancellation, job title changes, and nationality changes.
- supervise the preparation and submission of all vis-related applications, including work visas, business visas, visit visas, family visas, re entry visas, housemaid visas , block visas and newborn baby visas.
- ensure that all applications are followed up on regularly and an issues re escalated to appropriate authorities.
- review general letters and documents prepared by the Government Affairs Officer(s) addressed to various governmental and external entities (e.g. ministries, medical commissions, customs, seamen book, traffic department.
- ensure the accuracy and compliance of all documentation and maintain proper records for audit and reference purposes
- Oversee the processing of QFAB staff exit permits in compliance with company policies and regulations
- Participate in investigations related to visa, work, or civil irregularities concerning employees and assist in preparing detailed reports to Human Resources Manager
- Coordinate with Immigration authorities and ensure the completion of required transactions
- Provide expert advise to Joint Venture Companies regarding government affairs - related formalities, requirements and procedures.
- Liaise with various government authorities in the event of employee emergencies or deaths, ensuring timely escalation and resolution of repatriation processes.
- Supervise the renewal and updating of QFAB's legal licenses, ensuring all documentation is accurate and submitted on time.
- Keep the company informed of all government -affairs-related rules and regulations and ensure compliance with any changes
- Monitor the government affairs related petty cash and credit card receipts monthly, ensuring accuracy and proper record keeping
- Provide guidance to personnel on the requirements and procedures related to government services, such as obtaining driving licenses, car registrations, and insurance
- Support employees and the company in dealing with external entities like CEID, Qatar Chamber, Kahramaa, and the Ministry of Public Health, General Directorate of Industrial Security.
- Remain in standby to take necessary actions in case of emergency or as required.
- Support finance with invoice processing, prepare and review the reconciliation reports of company credit card and ensure top up the required fund
- Train and mentor QFAB Government Affairs staff to ensure they understand their responsibilities and provide guidance on related policies and procedures.
- Prepare and provide reports regularly to the section activities to QFAB Human Resources Manager.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree, preferably in Business Administration or any other related field.
Experience:
- Atleast 5 years of related experience in a similar position, preferably in oil and gas industry.
