Job Description

We are looking for a Functional & Integration Architect (SAP S/4HANA)for one of our clients with the following details: 


Start date: ASAP (Tentative date)


End Date: 31-DEC-2026


Location: Doha, Qatar 


Work status: Residential, Single


ACTIVITIES


  • Analyze and gather business requirements from our several complex business domains & environments and perform the required research & investigation to identify, create and execute architectural blueprints that outline techno-functional solutions to achieve complex objectives.
  • Ability to translate complex solutions into clear and concise strategies that can be easily adopted for the development of innovative solutions, by applying strategic and analytical thinking.
  • Assist the S/4HANA Program Lead and the organization’s SAP leadership in strategic direction, identifying and aligning with multifarious SAP products and technologies that can be employed.
  • Define, Design and Deliver SAP Architectural design with a thorough understanding of enterprise technology framework.
  • Prepare as well as evaluate efforts and cost estimates for SAP deliverables including New Changes, Implementation Change Requests, Professional services and so on, encompassing activities including but not limited to migration, upgrades, trainings, implementations, workshops and so on by reviewing & studying blueprints, fit-gap documents, plans, SOWs and related technical / business documents.
  • Develop overall solutions, including but not limited to high-level design (for e.g., Whiteboarding), Statements of Work (SOW), Service design, Technical architecture, System landscapes and Bills of Materials (BOM).
  • Provide technical oversight for integration between SAP solutions and legacy business systems.
  • Extensively coordinate with technical architects / practice leads, internal & external functional / technical team members, solution specialists from SAP as well as other partners in driving forward Program initiatives.
  • Management of SAP Functional integration, including any support (review / creation / quality analysis) of the Designs as well as the development of project documentation (architecture maps, plans, FDS, TDS, test scripts, training material) required for functional integration.
  • Facilitate, participate and provide input into required functional team workshops.
  • Approve position papers/decision documents before submission to QA & Design Authority
  • Actively facilitate resolutions of solution gaps and decision documents between business(es) and project team.
  • Scrutinize development list (WRICEF list) for deviations from standard SAP.
  • Identify key integration points/issues between teams, development of the plan/approach in mitigating the risks around these topics and establish formal steps and controls to facilitate communication/integration across teams.
  • Ensure consistent documentation of deliverables across functions.
  • Clearly define and manage dependencies between all functions.
  • Provide visibility of any business and technology impacts on the project and actively managed dependencies, with respect to system changes and replacement of solutions.
  • Ensure aligned and coordinated go-live activities across all functional streams.
  • Training material input and templates for standard processes.
  • Identify any issues, risks, and mitigating actions, and escalate to program management.
  • Validate testing results from SI partners and 3rd parties.
  • Give input to audit controls for system migration and go-live.
  • Align processes for post-go-live monitoring and setup activities with support structures.
  • Possess the ability to establish and maintain customer trust and confidence.
  • Be a primary problem-solver, focusing on reviewing and defining architectures, working across multiple complex customer projects.
  • Contribute to Service delivery and solution effectiveness by identifying short-term as well as long-term issues that must be addressed with tangible deliverables by providing information, solutions, commentary, recommendations, courses of action and implementation directives.
  • Monitor compliance and related guidance (such as data retention and audit requirements) to determine impact on enterprise architecture.
  • Maintain and acquire advanced level technical certification in assigned areas and maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending as well as conducting educational workshops, seminars & roadshows, reviewing professional & technical publications / blogs and participating in SAP-related forums & societies.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE


  • University degree (preferably in the field of Information Technology) and/or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • 10+ years or equivalent in SAP, with at least 5 years in S/4HANA, with good knowledge of SAP architecture design, SAP best practices and SAP Ecosystem.
  • Hands-on experience in SAP Delivery and end-to-end implementations, SAP cloud deployments, migrations and Development of SAP Cloud Platform solution.
  • Deep understanding of Application development and application life cycle management along with SAP Activate methodology.
  • Possess an advanced level of SAP techno-functional knowledge across a deep set of foundational technologies as well as at least one specific SAP technology and business domain at the Mastery level of competency.
  • Overall Functional understanding of major SAP modules and dependencies.
  • Relevant business understanding/experience of functional integration between processes and related end-to-end testing.
  • Knowledge in using SAP Solman.
  • Expertise in on-premise, private cloud and public cloud solutions architecture.
  • Must be a good team player with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Should have work experience in onsite-offshore model in terms of projects delivery.
