You are responsible for operating the forklift and delivering the required materials, unit, equipment, and other related items, as per instructions of the Foreman, to the respective area timely and in line with safety standards.
• Operate the Forklift to move components/material/items from and to different areas in the Qatar Galvanizing Plant / Facility.
• Strictly follow the instructions of the Foreman to ensure material safety.
• Ensure proper balance and know the center of gravity of the load when trying to load/unload material/structure.
• Observe the load capacity of the forklift when lifting/moving the requested component/material; inform the Foreman when the component / material weight is too much for the forklift.
• Ensure that the forklift operation is done on time.
• Monitor and maintain the forklift’s condition to ensure minimal disruptions due to breakdowns.
• High School / Secondary with Qatar Forklift driving license.
• Minimum 2 years work experience as a Forklift Operator in steel manufacturing or galvanizing.
• Knowledge in basic maintenance of Forklifts.
• Knowledge in Safety & Health standards
• Basic Communication Skills
• Flexible and easily accepts instructions without complaints.
