Job purpose:
- Ensures quality engineering up to successful construction on site
- Is in charge of technical interfaces with the subcontractors / vendors.
- Is in charge of resolving first level problems at site.
- Performs calculations, studies, etc. as needed.
- Perform brown-field engineering for updation / modification into existing facility
Reporting lines and interactions:
- Operationally reports to: Lead Engineer
- Hierarchically reports to: HOD, Electrical.
- Key interactions (internally, externally): Lead Engineer / HOD / PMT / Other Disciplines (internally) and Clients / Subcontractors / Vendors (externally).
Profile Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field is required.
- Minimum 5 -10 years of experience in Oil & Gas sectors with independent working capability & effective communication skills.
Main Accountabilities:
- Overall Electrical design in compliance to international standards (IEC)
- Load list / load summary
- Electrical design basis / philosophies
- SLDs / Schemes / Protection-Metering Drawings
- Electrical equipment sizing calculations (Transformers, DG, UPS, Cables, Lighting, Earthing, lightning protection, etc.)
- Power system studies (ETAP / equivalent software)
- Power system study reports (load flow, short circuit, motor starting, relay settings and coordination, transient, harmonics, arc flash, etc.)
- Data Sheet, Specifications, MR / Bid evaluation including TBT / Post order vendor drawing review of Electrical equipment (Transformers, MV-LV Switchboards, NGRs, MV/LV Busducts, AC/DC UPS, EDG (inputs), PMS, Cables, Distribution Boards, Bulk Electrical Materials, etc.)
- Electrical Database management (through SEL / Aveva Electrical) and extract of documents through it)
- Electrical equipment selection as per Hazardous area classifications & layouts
- Checking / designing works for Substation
- Inputs to and checking of Electrical layouts (cable routing, earthing, lighting, lightning protection, MCTs, conduits and stub-ups, etc.)
- Cables schedules, etc.
- Lighting DB Schedule / Lighting wiring diagrams
- Interconnection Diagrams
- MTOs
- Site / field engineering support
- Site survey onshore / offshore for data retrieval
