Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Duty Engineer to join our team in Doha, Qatar. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all equipment within our property.


  • Assist the Director of Engineering and the Assistant Chief Engineer in overseeing day-to-day operations of the facility
  • Supervise and perform maintenance tasks on various building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues proactively
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure optimal functioning of all equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance
  • Train and mentor junior staff members on proper maintenance procedures
  • Implement and adhere to safety regulations and best practices
  • Participate in ongoing improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent trade certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar engineering role
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems and equipment maintenance
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet
  • Proficiency in reading and speaking English
  • Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to train and mentor team members
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence
  • Keen attention to detail and results-oriented approach
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in facility management
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required
  • Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Physical ability to perform hands-on maintenance tasks when necessary
