Scope: High SchoolReporting to: Head of High School (direct)



Secondary Reporting to: Director of Learning, Analytics, and Innovation (as needed)



The International School of London (ISL) Qatar’snext International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Coordinator (DP)willsuccessfully model ISL's mission, values, and beliefs, particularly in promoting international-mindedness and intercultural understanding. They will possess strong organizational skills, a deep understanding of the IB DP framework, and a commitment to high standards in program planning and delivery. The candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage the various requirements of the IB DP and CP authorization processes.




RequirementsPurpose


This role ensures the effective implementation, development, and monitoring of the IB DP while guiding the school through a successful CP authorization process. This includes analyzing DP results, tracking student progress, managing professional learning budgets, and contributing to the school’s mission, vision, and pedagogical leadership.





1 Qulaificatios and Experience.
1.1. Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent


1.2 Qualified teacher status appropriate to the teaching duties to be undertaken.

1.3 Experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP)

2 Attributes, Knowledge, and Skills



The DP Coordinator and CP Authorization Coordinator should:


2.1 Be aligned with ISL’s vision, mission, and values of belonging, integrity, grit, and kindness.
2.2 Demonstrate international-mindedness and cultural sensitivity.
2.3 Possess strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
2.4 Understand the IB DP program standards, assessment, and curriculum requirements.
2.5 Be skilled at using student data to improve program outcomes.
2.6 Have experience managing IB systems, processes, and documentation.
2.7 Support the implementation of the school's mission and vision through program development.


3 Roles, Responsibilities, and Expectations


3.1 Program Development, Data Analysis, and Communication: Collaborate with the Director of Learning, Analytics, and Innovation, and other IB coordinators to plan, implement, and monitor DP initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement. Analyze DP results and predicted grade data to inform strategies for student support and improvement. Maintain communication with parents, the school community, and stakeholders about the IB DP program. Collaborate on IB/NEASC CLP Evaluation(s) and CP Authorization processes with school leaders and teachers.
