Job Description
Apt Resources is actively seeking an accomplished and experienced Director of Revenue for our client, a prestigious 5-star luxury hotel in Doha. In this role, the Director of Revenue is responsible for maximizing hotel revenues across various areas, including rooms, F&B outlets, meetings and events, and spas. The primary focus is on optimizing revenue streams, maintaining competitive market positioning, and enhancing key company performance indexes.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor competitive pricing closely and assess the impact of pricing decisions on property performance. Conduct competitor checks and report findings as necessary.
- Lead weekly revenue and monthly strategy meetings.
- Participate in the weekly group pipeline meeting.
- Analyze demand factors, competitive positioning, and future trends to inform revenue strategies.
- Ensure that the hotel’s revenue management practices align with policies and procedures, including Rate Plans, Rate Categories, Market Segmentation, Profiles, and all other PMS/IPS-related functionality.
- Prepare and present Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Revenue reports, covering production, trends, booking patterns, and channel analysis.
- Evaluate distribution channels in terms of costs, commissions, number of reservations, and revenue, providing insights into performance drivers.
- Update the revenue plan daily, ensuring all figures are balanced with the PMS/FRS and that all data input is accurate, including Geo source, product quality, and pricing.
- Actively manage the hotel’s revenue system (IDEAS RMS).
- Monitor transient and group production to maintain an optimal mix and evaluate group booking requests to prevent displacing higher-yielding revenue.
- Analyze the effectiveness of the revenue management strategy implemented by the company's team, making adjustments as necessary.
- Ensure the hotel’s position in the GDS and other distribution channels aligns with the hotel's selling strategies, including conducting rate and availability audits and maintaining rate parity across all channels.
- Ensure all rate plans are established according to guidelines.
- Accurately forecast the hotel’s short-term (weekly) and long-term (30, 60, and 90 days) business outlook.
- Assist the Director of Sales and Marketing (DOSM) in identifying slow periods and developing promotions and strategies.
- Contribute to the preparation of the annual Budget and the development of the hotel’s annual Business/Marketing plan.
- Provide leadership, training, and guidance to the Revenue Analyst, Distribution Executive, and Reservations Team through daily management.
- Participate in all revenue-related conference calls with Corporate.
- Assist in managing relationships with third-party online intermediaries, especially OTAs and Regional Travel Agents.
- Ensure all hotel Corporate guidelines are current and adhered to by the hotel team.
