Unwind in the Middle East’s only wellness centre in a resort setting, spread across lush botanical gardens.Job DescriptionKEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESManaging the Marine operation & fleet of seated Catamaran’s, Patrol boats and Pontoon boat.Reporting directly to the Hotel Manager Liaise with Training Manager and Operation Manager for he trainings of Boat Skippers, Crews and Marine HostessRostering, leave management and performance record of Boat captains, Crews, Marine Hostesses, Marina Team & AdminInspecting the seaworthiness of all vesselsEnsuring navigation/communication equipment are in operational conditionImplementing & monitoring proper grooming and hygiene standards for Skippers, Boat Crew & Marine Hostesses as per company standardMaking inventory and replenishment of all consumable itemsKeeping record of boat equipment and toolsTracking and monitoring all vesselsKeeping record of all boat maintenance (mechanical, electrical, navigation and electronic equipment)Ensuring boat schedules are carried out as per Company’s standardEnsuring all vessels are cleaned and maintained as per set standards without fail at all timesSole contact for entire marine operationsEnsuring all boat assets are mechanically safe and cleanOverseeing safety drills and rescue including sea trialsAssessing and making decisions during bad weather conditionLiaises with local authorities and coordinating with third party companies regarding repair and maintenance with the technical team for entire fleet such as: Antifouling, Hull cleaning, Dry docking, Proper disposal of backwater and grey water, Boat engine and generators periodic maintenance, Air-conditioning equipment, Safety equipment, Distress kits, Boat retrieval and rescue, Coordinating with coastguard and port authorities, Coordinating with engine/boat supplierQualifications5-10 years Solid marina/marine backgroundHas a valid licenses of the following but not limited to:Yacht master/COC – 2nd mate or above DivingAny marine/marina certification (CMM & AMM/IMM)Familiar with the navigation charts in Middle East specially in Qatar and bordersFamiliar with navigation routes to other marinas in QatarWell versed in Maritime rules and regulationCustomer/guest service orientedDecision maker and a problem solver
