Job Description

About the role:


We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to join Qatar Airways Group Medical Division as a Dietitian. 


This role will manage a clinical caseload and will promote the health and wellbeing of Qatar Airways Staff through evidence-based nutritional assessments and the provision of dietary strategies and therapies as part of our comprehensive lifestyle medicine programs and initiatives.


Role accountabilities:


  • Develop and conduct needs assessments through surveys, focus groups, etc. to identify key dietary concerns and opportunities to improve dietary options to various Qatar Airways Staff Groups.
  • Undertake clinical dietetic assessments and use clinical reasoning to determine the appropriate therapeutic interventions and advice.
  • Implement evidence-based dietary principles founded on the pillars of Lifestyle Medicine to improve and enhance the nutritional status, dietary options and dietary choices of Qatar Airways Employees.
  • Formulate and deliver individualized programmes based on evidence-based principles and practice.
  • Promote a caring and respectful environment in which all clients can expect a high quality and professional dietetic service.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to obtain informed consent prior to assessment and any treatments.
  • Provide clients with information to facilitate their understanding and equip them in making healthy, informed dietary choices subject to their individual needs.
  • Identify potential pathologies and appropriately refer cases to medical colleagues and/or allied health professionals in line with a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary care pathway.
  • Prepare and deliver group sessions to support the education and empowerment of Qatar Airways staff.
  • Engage and facilitate multi-disciplinary case discussion to improve and optimize patient care.
  • Use evidence-based practice, quality improvement methods and research to inform, measure and evaluate own practice.
  • Engage with the wider lifestyle medicine and human performance team through regular participation and active contribution in team meetings and program updates.
  • Receive referrals and provide interdepartmental support to the primary care and aeromedical teams to expand the remit and quality of services offered.
  • Act as ambassador for dietetics and advocate for supportive workplace culture that values and prioritizes employee health.
  • Comply with all regulatory training and continuous professional requirements to maintain a dietetic license within the state of Qatar.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need:


  • Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 4 years of job-related experience.
  • Hold a dietetic license from Department of Healthcare Professions in Qatar or be eligible to fulfil the criteria to obtain dietetic license.
  • Experience in delivering group dietary and/or weight management programs.
  • Experience in developing educational/motivational training content.
  • Excellent command of English Language and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to utilize IT/Technology effectively including MS Office and online learning platforms.
  • Passion for health and wellness with a desire to empower others.
