Job Description
The Data Integrity SME reports to the Data
Integrity Team Leader and should provide effective support for the management
and delivery of all Data Integrity activities. Providing effective utilisation of subject matter knowledge and
experience, support the delivery of Continuing Airworthiness Records at
strategic and tactical levels, to enable the maximisation of operational
efficiency and minimisation of costs.
The post holder will be expected to provide
assistance to the Data Integrity Team Lead in developing and delivering all
Data Integrity (both hard copy and electronic) tasks at strategic and tactical
levels, whilst maximising operational efficiency and minimising costs.Core Activity- Assist
in the production and delivery of the technical data to enable the
accomplishment of all maintenance in accordance with the Operator Maintenance
Programme.
- Assist
in the analysis of all applicable data and drive their completion within the
applicable timescales. Ensure any identified issues are assessed, generate
effective resolution, or sponsor escalation to management, as appropriate.
- At
a tactical level, lead and manage the data integrity interface with design
organisations and OEMs, maintenance tasking & verification, Part M and Part
145. organisation, reliability & maintenance programmes and all other key stakeholders,
in order to deliver the solution to the required standards.
- Manage
and report on the effectiveness of Data management, including feedback to
design organisation. Ensure any trends are identified, generate effective
resolution, or sponsor escalation to management, as appropriate.
- Develop and produce
the performance indicators required to demonstrate the configuration, quality
and integrity of the aircraft and component Continuing Airworthiness Records.
- Undertake the
development and amendment of all Continuing Airworthiness Records, including
the input of aircraft technical log data (hours, cycles, etc.) into the
relevant record and maintenance system.
- Conduct the necessary
reconciliation activities required to ensure the configuration, quality and integrity
of the Continuing Airworthiness Records is maintained
- Generate the required information from the Continuing
Airworthiness Records and work with Maintenance Tasking &
Verification, Part 145 organisation, Fleet Planning, Reliability Programmes and
all other key stakeholders, in order to deliver the required standards of
Continuing Airworthiness and contract delivery. Liaise with other Continuing Airworthiness Records teams, to ensure
consistency.
- Review and report on the
effectiveness of Continuing Airworthiness Records completion
and management processes, including feedback to Part 145 organisation and
Suppliers, across all responsible maintenance locations. Ensure any trends are
identified and escalated, as appropriate.
- Undertake the delivery of
advice and assistance on modification/configuration status-related questions.
Key Accountabilities- Performance indicators – Through the effective utilisation of
subject matter knowledge and experience, support the delivery of Continuing Airworthiness
Records at strategic and tactical levels, to enable the maximisation of
operational efficiency and minimisation of costs
- Completion of activities – Ensure all airworthiness records
activities are appropriately documented and airworthiness records are
maintained on relevant systems (IT or paper based). Updating ESS with correct
configuration data. Correction of ESS data Exceptions as applicable. Provide
OJT aligned to the role training specification for QAF candidate
- Procedure/standards – Compliance with the MOE, its associated
procedures and standards, and any other company procedures and standards.Agree and enact change to these procedures
and standards
- Safety Management System – Ensure Human Factors and Error
Management philosophies are applied to all Continuing Airworthiness Records
activities. Understand the risks associated with Continuing Airworthiness
Records and the means by which they are mitigated and managed
- Management
System Assurance– Ensure
Continuing Airworthiness Records activities are compliant with the Governance
and Assurance framework, including supporting Process Confirmations and
independent assurance audits. Support the response to audit findings in a
timely and appropriate manner and provide information to support the relevant
reviews. Support the implementation of identified improvements to overcome any
non-compliance and monitor effectiveness
- Statutory / Regulatory & Legislative
requirements – Demonstrate a detailed understanding
and application of the continuing airworthiness regulatory framework, i.e. EASA
Part M as applied within the QAF environment and ensure the organisation is advised
of any changes. Ensure compliance with all other requirements, e.g.
ITAR/E&PW
- Contractual Requirements – Ensure compliance with all applicable
contractual requirements; Support contract reviews and ensure communication of
any changes into Airworthiness Records activities, as appropriate
Requirements- Minimum of a recognised
qualification to NVQ3/ONC level in a relevant Data Management or Technical
discipline, or Part 66 Category A qualified, or suitable equivalent
- Recent in-depth experience, to a
level appropriate for their role, within a Maintenance & Support environment,
including direct experience of supporting or maintaining fleets of aircraft and
the associated Continuing Airworthiness Records
- Demonstrate
an understanding of reliability programmes and the impact of their findings on
the operator maintenance programme.
- Demonstrate
a good understanding of data integrity with respect to fleet planning and
maintenance tasking & verification.
- Provide
direction and advice to the data integrity teams on records related issues,
addressing individual aircraft or components and fleet-wide issues.
