You are responsible for operating the Overhead Crane to move the required materials, unit, equipment, and other related items, from one area to the other within the workshop, on time and in line with safety standards.
• Operate the Overhead Crane to move material/steel structure, including its dipping, from one part of the factory to another.
• Strictly follow the instructions of the Foreman to ensure material safety.
• Check the fixings between the material/structure and the crane to ensure that it is fixed properly.
• Observe load capacity and tolerance of the crane when lifting/moving the requested component/structure; inform the Foreman when the component/material weight is too much for the overhead crane.
• Make sure that the operation/movement of the crane is within the allowable speed to prevent accidents and damage to the material/structure.
• High School / Secondary. With Crane certification.
• Minimum 2 years work experience as an Overhead Crane Operator in a Steel Fabrication or Galvanizing business.
• Knowledge of basic maintenance for overhead electrical crane.
• Knowledge in Safety & Health standards
• Basic Communication Skills
