Job Description

Job Summary

To be the primary resource for system information, ongoing education, and support to end-users, administration, and clinical staffs with all the aspect of the clinical application prevailing in the organization. To lead clinical workflow development and recommendations for practice users and to serve as the clinical expert guiding the clinical team to manage the use of clinical applications and suggest workflows to enhance practice efficiency, streamlined provider/staff documentation, and patient throughout.

Job Responsibilities 1

  • Contribute to the development and execution of the IT-Clinical’s short to mid-term plans to ensure alignment with the IT’s strategic priorities and contribute to the development of annual business plans for the assigned areas of responsibility to support the achievement of financial objectives.
  • Monitor, control, and report key performance indicators related to the department, to track performance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Contribute with ideas that support an efficient and effective structure and resource allocation for the department, to ensure smooth workflow of operational processes and optimal utilization of resources.
  • Manage the selection and implementation of EMR, PACS, and other healthcare systems, participating in writing RFP, evaluating, selection, awarding, implementation, and training.
  • Lead disaster recovery planning for EHR system and business continuity for clinical workflows.
  • Manage, evaluate, and implement integration engines between different clinical and non-clinical applications.  
  • Coordinate with infrastructure team for clinical applications server, storage, and upgrade needs.

Job Responsibilities 2

  • Review enterprise architecture for clinical applications.
  • Provide input into the preparation and consolidation of the IT’s budget, monitor financial performance during the year and identify areas of unsatisfactory performance (if any), and recommend mitigating actions.
  • Manage the performance management, career progression and activities of direct reports by setting annual objectives, identifying training opportunities, mentoring, coaching, and providing constructive feedback to improve their performance.
  • Lead the clinical workflow developments and recommendations for users and will serve as the clinical expert guiding the clinical team to manage the use of clinical applications, suggest workflows to enhance practice efficiency, streamlined provider/staff documentation, and patient throughput.
