ATLAS is looking for compassionate and skilled Childcare Specialists to join our team at the CARE Doha compound in Qatar. You will provide hands-on care for children of Afghan refugee families, ensuring a safe, healthy, and engaging environment. As part of the community services team, you will play a critical role in delivering age-appropriate activities and supporting children’s emotional and developmental needs. This role requires adaptability, teamwork, and a strong commitment to child safety and wellbeing.
About You
Experienced in caring for children in structured childcare, school, or youth program environments.
Detail-oriented and proactive in maintaining child safety, health, and hygiene standards.
Effective communicator who works well with colleagues and families in culturally diverse settings.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct supervision and care for children, organizing and facilitating age-appropriate activities.
Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols, including first aid, emergency response, and hygiene practices.
Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and supervisors regarding children’s progress and any concerns.
Key Qualifications
Required:
At least 2 years of experience in childcare, early childhood education, or youth services.
CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
Proficiency in English with strong communication skills.
Preferred:
Red Cross Child Care Certificate or equivalent.
Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto.
Familiarity with child safety protocols, including child abuse prevention and emergency preparedness procedures.
