Job Description

Present creativity and embellish talents by personally performing tasks while leading the team members in preparing quality and consistent bakeries and pastries for all areas. Works to continuously improve guest satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget. Leads the training and development of the team to improve results while maintaining standards.


  • Prepares quality baked items such as breads and pastries to the specifications and amounts listed on the order sheet. Adjusts the production on a daily basis, subject to occupancy and operational requirements. 
  • Prepare and bake items according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards. 
  • Continuously develops, updates, and improves the quality of all baked items on menus. 
  • Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment. 
  • Monitor food quality during preparation and throughout the day by utilizing the HACCP forms and production charts.
  • Improves service by communicating and assisting individuals in the team to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed. 
  • Consults with the Pastry Chef and makes suggestions for new and exciting baked goods to embellish the menu.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years as a Chief baker or in a similar position.
  • Extensive technical knowledge and the ability to understand culinary trends with a high level of creativity.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and be capable of working well under pressure.
  • Fluent English communication proficiency
