Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to
lead a small arms ammunition factory in Doha, Qatar. The CEO will be
responsible for overseeing the overall operations, driving growth, ensuring
compliance with industry regulations, and enhancing the company's market
position. This role requires a leader with a deep understanding of the defense
manufacturing sector, particularly within the small arms ammunition space,
coupled with strong business acumen and the ability to manage complex
operational processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute the company’s strategic plan to achieve growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
- Provide visionary leadership to ensure the company maintains a competitive edge in the defense industry.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government entities, defense contractors, and private-sector clients.
- Operations Management:
- Oversee the factory’s day-to-day operations, ensuring production efficiency, quality control, and timely delivery of products.
- Implement continuous improvement processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with all local and international regulations related to arms manufacturing and defense standards.
- Business Development:
- Identify new market opportunities both locally and internationally to expand the company’s reach.
- Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to increase the company’s presence in the global arms industry.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful negotiation and execution of large-scale defense contracts.
- Financial Oversight:
- Manage the company’s financial performance, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Ensure proper financial controls are in place, overseeing cost management, procurement, and pricing strategies.
- Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to national and international laws regarding arms production and export.
- Maintain strict security protocols for both physical and information security related to the manufacturing of ammunition.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential threats or disruptions in operations.
- Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead and mentor the senior management team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and performance.
- Develop the company’s talent pool, ensuring succession planning and professional development of key personnel.
- Ensure a safe working environment that promotes health and safety standards.
RequirementsKey Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a senior executive leadership role, ideally as a CEO, COO, or equivalent in the defense or manufacturing industry.
- Deep knowledge of small arms ammunition manufacturing processes, regulations, and international defense markets.
- Strong business acumen with experience in strategic planning, financial management, and operations oversight.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of managing diverse teams and complex stakeholder relationships.
- Proven track record in business development and expanding market presence, particularly in the defense sector.
- Experience working in the Middle East, with a solid understanding of the cultural and regulatory environment of Qatar.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with government entities, particularly in defense.
- Knowledge of international arms regulations, including ITAR and Wassenaar Arrangement compliance.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is highly advantageous.
