Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties include but not limited to:
a) CIPS & DCVG Surveys on pipelines in the Gas Operations network (RLIC, All Eastern Half of Qatar, and MIC).
b) Conventional cathodic protection works such as potential, voltage and current measurements at test points, current drainage sources, continuity bonds, cross bonds, insulating joints and other cathodic protection hardware either as part of routine surveys or troubleshooting.
c) Cathodic Protection Technician shall be capable of creating reports for the surveys including an interpretation of the results and comments and recommendations for remedial action, where appropriate.
d) CONTRACTOR PERSONNEL shall from time to time carry out surveys along pipeline routes on the GDS as part of their duties. For the CP technicians this will be a significant part of their work.
RequirementsQualifications
Diploma in Mechanical / chemical / Electrical Engineering/ with 10 years experience or Graduate in chemical / Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering with 5 years Experience from Reputed institute.
Cathodic Protection Technicians Shall be qualified to NACE CP Technician (CP2) level (or equivalent).
Experience
The candidate shall have not less than 10 (years) for Diploama holders/ five (5) years for Graduate relevant experience and be fully skilled in carrying out CIPS & DCVG surveys. Age shall be not less than 30 years and not more than 45 years. He shall have the ability to pass QatarEnergy Permit to Work system and Consolidated Permit to Work system.
Shall pass PTW or ePTW as specified by Mesaieed Operations Qatar Energy HSE as required
