Qualifications
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in application support, preferably in SWIFT, RTGS, or high-value payment systems within banking/financial services.
- Hands-on experience with SWIFT Alliance (FIN, InterAct, FileAct), RTGS platforms, or payment gateways.
- Familiarity with payment message formats (e.g., MT/MX messages, ISO 20022 XML) and settlement workflows.
- Proficiency in SQL for database querying and scripting (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation tasks.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Nagios).
- Knowledge of SWIFT interfaces (Alliance Access/WebPlatform), HSM (Hardware Security Module), and network protocols (e.g., MQ, SFTP).
- Understanding of cloud-based payment solutions (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with technical teams, auditors, and business stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.

Responsibilities
Payment Systems Support & Incident Management:
- Provide Level 2/3 technical support for SWIFT Alliance, RTGS platforms, and related payment systems (e.g., SEPA, Fedwire, CHAPS).
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to payment message processing, connectivity, file transfers, and settlement failures to minimize downtime and financial risks.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents and implement preventive measures.
System Monitoring & Maintenance:
- Monitor SWIFT and RTGS systems using tools like Splunk, IBM QRadar, or proprietary monitoring solutions to ensure optimal performance and transaction integrity.
- Perform scheduled maintenance, patches, and upgrades in coordination with infrastructure and vendor teams.
- Validate system stability post-changes and adhere to ITIL-based change management processes.
Compliance & Security:
- Ensure SWIFT and RTGS systems comply with global standards (e.g., SWIFT CSP, PCI-DSS) and regulatory requirements (e.g., PSD2, AML/CFT).
- Support audits, vulnerability assessments, and remediation activities for payment systems.
- Implement security controls, encryption protocols, and access management for SWIFT interfaces.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with payment operations, treasury, compliance, and third-party vendors to resolve issues and enhance system functionality.
- Document technical workflows, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles for internal teams.
- Train business users on SWIFT/RTGS functionalities and best practices.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify automation opportunities for payment reconciliation, reporting, and alerting processes.
- Stay updated on evolving payment standards (e.g., ISO 20022 migration) and emerging technologies (e.g., API-driven payments).
