Job Description

The Business Development Engineer will drive growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities in the upstream oil & gas sector. The role involves analyzing market trends, developing technical and commercial proposals, building relationships with clients and stakeholders, and contributing to project acquisition strategies. This position requires both engineering expertise and business acumen, focusing on maximizing profitability and expanding the company's market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Analysis & Strategy Development:
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitors, and potential opportunities in the upstream oil & gas sector.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement strategic business plans that align with the company’s growth objectives.
  • Analyze technical and commercial feasibility of potential projects to support decision-making.
  1. Opportunity Identification & Pipeline Development:
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and projects that align with the company’s expertise and strategic focus.
  • Develop and maintain a project pipeline by tracking potential opportunities and following up on leads.
  1. Technical Proposal Development:
  • Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals for new projects, ensuring alignment with client specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to develop project proposals, ensuring technical accuracy and competitive pricing.
  1. Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, industry partners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing technical information, and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

 

  1. Project Negotiation & Contracting:
  • Support negotiations for project terms, contract conditions, and pricing with clients and vendors.
  • Ensure all contractual agreements meet the company’s risk management, legal, and compliance standards.
  1. Collaboration with Technical Teams:
  • Coordinate with internal technical teams to ensure project feasibility, budget alignment, and resource allocation.
  • Communicate client requirements and project objectives to engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.
  1. Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
  • Track performance metrics for projects and business development initiatives, providing regular updates to management.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on business development activities, performance, and opportunities.
