Job Description

About the role


As a brand product designer, you will be responsible for multihyphenate creative with an intuitive understanding of human-centric products and experience, and an ability to turn data into dynamic, immersive visual stories. Responsible for creating innovative ideas starting from brainstorming the next great product innovation to tweaking pixels right before launch.


Key responsibilities 


  • Maintain Qatar Airways UI/UX principles and visual language across Qatar Airways digital platforms.
  • Design compelling interactions and experiences for ARNR driven by user scenarios and use cases.
  • Interaction design- from pen and paper sketches to crisp high fidelity mockups, and from workflow architectures to the smallest micro-interactions, you'll construct intuitive workflows that handle complexity and serve your end user. Design end-to-end flows and visuals and individually contribute to the product and feature set
  • User research - pair qualitative methods (e.g. scripted usability tests and contextual inquiry) with quantitative information, like product and usage metrics.
  • Drive the need-finding and validation processes for your work by getting onsite and conducting both generative and evaluative user research.
  • Rapid prototyping- quickly make ideas real in order to evaluate and test them. Depending on the situation, this might involve pen and paper, XD, or front-end development in partnership with an engineer.
  • Partnering with engineers - through mockups, prototypes, and written documents, sharing designs and ideas with relevant partners, seek critical feedback, and push the product forward. Work closely with engineers to ground designs in technical feasibility. Work with PMS and business partners to prioritize and tie the work to user outcomes.
  • Synthesis and ideation - take the signal gathered on user and business problems and distill it into impactful problems against which to align the team. Drive collaborative, broad generation of ideas to define the solutions space, by synthesizing insights in a compelling, creative, and actionable way that cuts to the chase of the underlying user issues.
  • Develop UX metrics to ensure quality and benchmarking of future ARNR products. Share best practices and new techniques with the broader UX team.
  • Work with designers across the departments to build and maintain Qatar Airways design system and style guides.
Qualifications

About you


  • Product design experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in design systems
  • Experience in Augmented and Virtual Reality.
  • Experience in XD, Miro, Figma, Adobe CC, Adobe Dimension, After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • A portfolio of work demonstrating excellent experience in product design and Design systems.
