Job Description

Assembly Duty Supervisor is responsible for assisting Duty Officer in ensuring the overall operation of the department, from single shift perspective and beyond. Has full control of operational processes and associated activities in designated areas as per set standards. Is also responsible for the team performance against the operational target during the shift.


Accountabilities:


  • Responsible to provide efficient and an exceptional level of service with regards to pre-set and assembling of meals, carts, and required equipment for all airlines and other customers.
  • Lead the shift (or sections) independently and provide solutions to challenges while on shift.
  • Ensure consistent and sufficient supply of essential equipment and products for daily operations.
  • Ensure proper documentation of CCP (Critical Control Points) and other relevant records as per HACCP standards and requirements.
  • Implement timely all Hygiene, Safety and Security guidelines and instructions to be proactive in preventing workplace injuries, incidents and accidents.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all incidents and accidents, as well as timely reporting and/or escalation.
  • Ensure proper preparation for internal and external audits.
  • Establish the department or teams’ objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.
  • Regularly evaluate the department or team’s objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and make appropriate changes if needed.
  • Oversee and supervise employees.
  • Train and develop other employees, to ensure succession planning is in place.
Qualifications

High School Qualification/Vocational Qualification/Diploma or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience OR Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 2 years of job-related experience.


Job Specific Skills:


Essential


  • Excellent knowledge of Flight catering operation
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Basic food safety and manual handling training
  • Sound knowledge of GLP’s (Galley Loading Plans)
  • Excellent knowledge of food and service structure
  • Computer literate with a thorough knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Thorough knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point)
  • Supervisory skills
  • Problem Solving skills

Preferred


  • Basic Firefighting procedures
  • Basic First Aid Procedures
  • Completion of Flight Catering Security Training
