Job Description

JOB SUMMARY


The Analyst - Research Outcomes and Reporting reports directly to the Manager - Research Outcomes and Reporting, and is responsible for the initiation and execution of Sidra Research’s systems and processes for disseminating information, communication within the Branch, and inter-departmental communication. The Analyst also is responsible for externships in the Research Branch, both as a result of MoU agreement with an external institution, and individual volunteers seeking experience. Additionally, the Analyst is responsible for compiling Research success stories to be used for internal dissemination as well as external press releases (in collaboration with Communications Department).


Finally, the Analyst is integral to dissemination of Research-related information and communication (e.g. services, outcomes etc) internally.


KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES


Communication:


  • Coordinates internal Research information dissemination including newsletter, internal portal and public website. Is responsible for keeping official research information up to date. Editor to the bi-monthly Research newsletter.
  • Compiles content and designs Research Annual Report Book. Assists Manager in editing and reviewing content for finalization. Distributes report internally and externally.
  • Aides in representing and publishing Research Success Stories through various media outlets by liaising with the Sidra Communications Department. Works closely with researchers and clinician scientists to collect relevant stories, data, imagery and so forth.
  • Assists with compiling and editing of internal research newsletter, brochures of research services, and other similar activities.
  • Periodically updates and maintains Sidra Research related information on the internal portal and the public website.
  • Editor to the bi-monthly Research newsletter: compiles updates/content, edits and disseminates twice a month to Research community in Sidra (includes clinicians).
  • Compiles content and designs Research Annual Report Book. Assists Manager in editing and reviewing content for finalization. Distributes report internally and externally.
  • Acts as Research representative for the application process and hosting of externs and interns. Interviews, coordinates onboarding, and oversees access to IT, lab, and Sidra premises.

Education and Training:


  • Acts as Research representative for the application process and hosting of externs and interns. Interviews, coordinates onboarding, and oversees access to IT, lab, and Sidra premises.
  • Prepares onboarding of Visiting Scientists and coordinates with Occupational Health, Contracts, and WFS on scope, duration, and access.
  • Analyzes Graduate Associate development, and assists Manager in disseminating higher education opportunities for Research Branch nationals.

Other:


  • Builds strong relationships and communicates effectively with key stakeholders for communication and education activities.
  • Registers publications in RedCAP for Research and Clinical Branches (300+/year).
  • Embraces a customer-service orientation and attitude in all aspects of work.
  • Adheres to Sidra’s standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS – SELECTION CRITERIA


Education


ESSENTIAL


  • Bachelor in Public Health, Operations, Science, Communications, HR or equivalent.

PREFERRED


  • Master of Science or Business-related discipline (e.g. MBA)

Experience


ESSENTIAL


  • 3+ years of relevant experience.

Or


  • Successful completion of Sidra’s graduate associate program for Qatari Nationals.

Certification and Licensure


PREFERRED


  • Project Management Certification (e.g. PMP or PRINCE2)
