Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform Organizational-Level (O-Level) and Intermediate-Level (I-Level) maintenance tests and replacement of the Shop Replaceable Assemblies (SRAs) on the P5CTS pods. Maintain a log containing the serial number, pod type, date, time, and remarks for all P5CTS pods checked in and out of the P5CTS pod shop. Maintain a daily status/availability log on all P5CTS pods. Maintain a database of servicing schedules (including due dates) and maintenance carried out. Operate and maintain the P5CTS Test Set in accordance with the applicable technical documentation. Perform duties of Display and Debriefing Subsystem Operator as required, which include the following:+ Load programs for operation and test.
+ Perform subsystem test to assess operational readiness.
+ Load all pre-mission exercise data into the Data Recorder Device (DRD).
+ Maintain a control log of DRD issue to and receipt from aircrews.
+ Operate the graphics terminals during live exercises and assist with display and control operations.
+ Provide technical assistance to aircrew in setting up for replay/debriefing.
+ Maintain and store records of mission tapes.
+ Maintain a mission event log with specific, concise, and pertinent data entered under the following headings: date, time, mission/event, remarks, and operator.
+ Interface directly with the aircrew regarding mission sortie effectiveness.
+ Install, configure, and update ACMI software and mission playback equipment.
+ Perform basic troubleshooting, debugging, and reporting of software issues.
+ Manage software patches and system updates to maintain operational readiness.
+ Perform basic administrative tasks on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and other Linux-based systems.
+ Execute basic shell scripting and command-line operations for system configuration and maintenance.
+ Liaise with support personnel to ensure the SPEAR system faults and bugs are reported in a timely fashion, and any software updates installed correctly.
+ Provide the Site Lead with monthly mission data to assist with the compilation of the Monthly Report.
+ Perform additional operations duties as directed by the Site Supervisor.

Minimum Job Requirements:
Skills knowledge and experience: Essential:
Technical background in a similar role with experience of working in a military environment . Basic IT skills using MS Office and testing software. Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and schematics. Ability to use electronic tools and testing equipment. Position requires the ability to lift 75lbs. Will entail bending, reaching and fitting into tight places to perform normal duties.
Desirable:
Prior military experience would be beneficial. Prior experience working in a remote and/or foreign environment. Basic proficiency in Linux administration (RHEL preferred).
Familiarity with server maintenance, software installations, and system updates.
Experience with network configurations, troubleshooting, and system monitoring.
Education and qualifications
Essential:
Two years college qualification in a technical related field; or equivalent technical education and military experience. Must possess a driving license.
Desirable:
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field OR equivalent military/technical experience .
