Job Description
Key Result Areas:
Develop and implement Al Shaqab marketing and communication strategy to help grow awareness, increase footfalls and generate revenue for Al Shaqab. Develop strategies to build, enhance and position Al Shaqab’s brand image to ensure its effectiveness, promote recognition and perception of Al Shaqab.
Develop, plan and implement the marketing and communications plan in line with Al Shaqab strategic objectives and targets by coordinating with others within the Commercial Department and management.
Develop and manage the social media plan and approve all its contents to reach highest efficiency and effectiveness to raise Al Shaqab profile, events and activities. Stay up to date with digital marketing trends and potential new channels and strategies to keep ahead.
Promote the brand name through formulated advertising and public relations campaigns and plan and reinforce the corporate identity. Oversee all press releases and maintain a constant supply of articles for media partners.
Manage the design, production, distribution, of promotion and advertisement materials, to create awareness and target ideal customers to Al Shaqab. Drive innovative Graphic Design that enables Al Shaqab, to inform, persuade, direct, organize, entertain, and attract attention.
Ensure consistency and integrated identity of Al Shaqab print out materials such as invitations, newsletters, flyers, posters, information brochures, and Al Shaqab email in Arabic and English, in collaboration with other stakeholders.
Oversee conduct of regular market analysis on customer/market needs versus Al Shaqab products and services offering, to recommend marketing strategy and approach. Keep abreast with market trends and activities around the equestrian industry and markets in which Al Shaqab participates.
Monitor client’s satisfaction and develop appropriate systems to capture and respond to clients and market’s sentiments about Al Shaqab products and services to ensure customer satisfaction.
Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in line with Commercial Department strategic objectives for the marketing and communications unit and ensure that they are met.
Recommend and implement marketing policies and procedures, recommend updates as needed and standardize as appropriate.
Manage the contract, relationship and resources provided by third party advertisement/marketing agencies and/or consultants.
Perform other duties within the scope and the spirit of the business nature, job purpose, the title of the post and its grading and other reasonable tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Public Relations or equivalent.
Other professional qualifications in marketing (or a Master Degree) are desirable.
7 years of experience with at least 5 years in a senior level position with proven track record of effective communications in large-scale projects.
Professional knowledge in marketing concepts, techniques, and methods.
Strategic thinking skills, with the ability to come up with effective plans in line with Al Shaqab’s objectives, set goals and determine priorities.
Analytical skills, with ability to solve problems quickly and effectively by breaking down complex problems into single and manageable components.
Proactive and self-starter, who gets thing done, usually without being told or reminded.
Self-confident, service-oriented, conscientious, assertive, persistent, achievement-oriented, flexible and a team player.
Ability to create stories and write and edit press releases.
Works effectively under pressure to meet deadlines with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Strong bilingual (Arabic-English) language and communications skills.
Ability to use technology and special software effectively, to promote marketing, communications and sale goals.
Familiarity with Al Shaqab unique markets is desirable.
