Job Description
KEY RESULT AREAS:
Manage the design and implementation of key strategic RDI programs and initiatives as detailed in QRDI2030
Develop program requirements, seek feedback from QRDIC management team and other stakeholders and launch programs
Engage key RDI stakeholders (including other funding entities) on the key insights, challenges and requirements to support the prioritization, development and execution of QRDIC programs and initiatives
Support benchmarking and analysis of the various Research & Innovation programs which are relevant, ensuring understanding of the program landscape, what exists, what is missing the potential opportunities in line with QRDI2030
Provide guidance and support to potential applicants and ensure guidance documents are clear and up to date
Oversee the evaluation and review process, including identifying external reviewers (as required) and recommendations for awards and declinations
Manage ongoing programs and initiatives ensuring any terms and conditions developed by QRDIC are enforced
Manage all evaluation of existing or new programs and initiatives through close consultation with various actors and quantitative and qualitative assessments of the talent programs and initiatives
Ensure management of all information related to above mentioned programs targeting relevant beneficiary, complete archiving of all documents in a timely manner, ensure that information is continuously updated and dissemination to other team members is completed as required
Provide input to the communication plan related to RDI programs, ensuring the successful launch and awareness of any talent programs/initiatives and events
Support collaboration efforts locally and internationally
Draw support from functional teams in RDI Secretariat, as required, to achieve initiative objectives and provide inputs to functional teams in QRDI Council on matters pertaining to talent
Support development of partnerships and support RDI actors to establish partnerships to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes
Participate in targeted national and global RDI workshops, conferences, panels, roundtables, and forums as necessary
Other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study & 8-10 years of full-time work experience.
Demonstrated ability to be innovative, take the initiative and achieve objectives on time, on target, on budget
Outstanding negotiation skills; able to influence, manage & build consensus among stakeholders
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to develop and maintain effective business/team relationships, excellent networking skills
Outstanding leadership and management skills
Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic proficiency is an advantage
