Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspections:
  • Conduct regular inspections of food handling, storage, and preparation areas.
  • Identify and document any food safety violations.
  • Sample Collection:
  • Collect food samples for laboratory testing.
  • Monitor temperature control and storage conditions.
  • Compliance Enforcement:
  • Ensure compliance with local and international food safety standards.
  • Provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Training and Education:
  • Assist in training staff on food safety practices and procedures.
  • Stay updated on food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Reporting:
  • Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Document all findings and corrective actions taken.

Skills

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

·        Experience: Minimum of 3 years in food safety inspection or a related field.

·        Skills and Competencies: Inspection, compliance, food safety protocols, communication.

 

Qualifications

·        Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.

·        Certifications: Relevant professional certifications (e.g., HACCP, FSSC 22000) are desirable.
