We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Vice President – Wholesale Credit Review Unit


Business: Risk and Compliance


Principal responsibilities


  • Deliver timely, well-reasoned, informed, and clear credit review summaries. All reports must be delivered with professionalism and empathy, earning the respect of the business and adding value where appropriate. As part of the review, the WCRU team will validate adherence to HSBC Group’s lending policies, guidance and regulatory standards and practices, 
  • Maintain effective working relationships with the Senior Risk Stakeholders as well as Relationship Managers and Lending Executives across the reviewable entities by delivering value added service and establish rapport and credibility.
  • As a senior member of the function, enable continuous improvement, streamlining and efficiency in the existing processes.
  • Ensure quality of work, for both self and the team, adherence to workflow TATs and submission of Mis where necessary. 
  • Deputy for the Regional Head/Team Head as and when required.
  • Assume responsibility for recruitment, training and mentoring of newer members of the team on a continued basis.  
  • Drive a high-performance culture within the team by displaying high quality and engagement levels and ensure business continuity and stability.
  • Participate in the local management and site activities.
