Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:


  • Promote & embrace the Smiths behavioral competencies & business ethics. Shall be self-driven, self-motivated and embrace change.
  • Maintain excellent service and build good rapport with customers and both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Frequent traveling within India to all compressor OEM sites will be required. Travel within EMEA region (Global Travelling) may also be required with a very short notice as business demands.
  • Continuously engage with Turbo OEMs to ensure JC support / technical offers and commercial quotations against their pre-bid and final enquiries.
  • Develop and sustain close rapport with Turbo OEMs to keep track of market developments with respect to each FF opportunity and liaise with internal stake-holders.
  • Support Sales team members to identify each opportunity of upgrade and retrofit and provide technical back-up and participate in techno-commercial discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Co-ordinate with GEC and Commercial team to ensure prompt and effective responses to Turbo OEM / External stakeholders technical and commercial comments on our technical offers and commercial quotes.
  • Support company’s Global Initiatives, Strategies, and New Product Development and Business Development. Point of contact for product line departments as Voice of the customer (VoC) and support in defining product outline if necessary.
  • Responsible for exercising due diligence towards health & safety of self and others within the organization
  • Ensures compliance with the applicable HSE instructions, requirements, laws and regulations received from customers, regulatory and statutory bodies


The Individual

Skills & Experience:


  • University Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 to 12 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in rotating equipment (pumps or compressors) sales is essential.
  • Hands on experience in Field Services would be added advantage
  • Experience of working in a multinational and multicultural environment.
  • Candidate with engineering background and exposure to API610/API692/API617 will be an added advantage.
  • Rotating equipment knowledge.
  • Sufficient technical knowledge in the field of rotating equipment, preferably centrifugal compressors
  • Familiar with and possessing working knowledge of international standards like API, ISO, ASME, and other common industrial standards
  • Strong Commercial and Technical Skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Self – driven
  • Confident and able to deal with very challenging situations in a calm and credible manner.
  • Adaptable, flexible and appreciative of an array of cultures and customs.
  • Team player and willing to travel extensively.
  • Result orientated and strong decision making.
