Responsibilities:
You will be responsible to:
- Perform non-invasive cardiac diagnostic procedures in accordance with established protocols.
- Carry out cardiac procedures and acquire proficiency in new techniques and modalities, which may include pacemaker checkups, Holter monitoring, and strain imaging in echocardiography procedures.
- Detect discrepancies in patient reports and collaborate with relevant faculty to resolve them, contributing to the prevention of future discrepancies.
- Assist in conducting quality audits within the cardiopulmonary department to ensure compliance with prescribed quality standards.
- Conduct educational and training sessions for trainees and fellow technologists on a regular basis, aiming to enhance their technical skills and improve patient care delivery while ensuring accurate results.
- Collaborate with the biomedical department as needed for equipment repair and maintenance to ensure seamless operations.
- Establish effective communication with physicians to facilitate the timely reporting of procedures and maintain a smooth workflow.
- Be prepared for late sittings or on-call duties in case of emergencies, with appropriate compensation provided in the form of staggered hours.
Requirements:
You should have:
- At least an Intermediate along with Diploma in Cardiac Technology; Bachelor's degree in Science along with successful completion of a 24-month training course in cardiopulmonary diagnostic technology at AKU or an equivalent institution will be preferred.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience in a recognized hospital.
- Proficiency and thorough knowledge of non-invasive cardiac diagnostic technology procedures.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- A commitment to staying current with the latest developments in the field.
- Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to lead by example when working with colleagues.
- Willingness to work flexible shift duties as required.
- Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in communication.
- Capability to perform effectively and maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
