The incumbent will be responsible for supporting taxation related matters across the business while ensuring company’s book are in order. This requires a broad understand of both accounting, taxation and business operations.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist in tax matters of the company, including filing of tax returns (provincial and federal).
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation, filing, and submission of various tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and other relevant taxes, in adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ensuring strict tax compliance with the FBR, encompassing regular withholding tax payments, submission of withholding statements, computation of annual corporate tax, and submission of tax returns.
  • Assist in submitting all tax replies and making sure that all legal compliances should be made as per law.
  • Visiting tax departments for the purpose of audit and discussions with lawyers and advisors in case their services are acquired.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing tax provisions and disclosures for financial reporting purposes, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and guidelines.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, and regional finance project teams, regarding tax implications of business decisions. Engage in effective communication with external tax consultants, auditors, and regulatory authorities.

General:


  • Be a part of leading month-end accounting close activities. Preparing of balance sheet schedules and assuring that all entries related to finance payments are timely recorded.
  • Ensure integrity of financial data supplied by financial accounting team to other areas of the business and to external stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely delivery of supporting information and carry out follow-ups on relevant issues.
  • Observe HSE policies / procedure and assist QHSE leadership on group compliance requirements as directed.
